Desborough is a small town, which still has that village atmosphere. The town has grown and grown over the years and still seems to keep on expanding, with new houses being built all the time.
Along with the new housing comes other investments in the town such as modern street furniture, a weekly market and ‘boutique’ shops.
People of Desborough have the best of both worlds. In a few minutes by foot, you can be in fields enjoying some of the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, yet in a few minutes by car you can be on the M1, M6 and A14.
The town boasts two excellent schools for primary children, Loatlands and Havelock. For secondary education, children take the bus to nearby Rothwell, where they will attend Montsaye Community College. A school which excels in Languages and Humanities.
Rothwell is an historic market town, again surrounded by countryside and major road links alike. The old buildings along the main street make this town very picturesque and with the Annual Rowell Fair turning the town into a funfair for a week, Rothwell has to be seen to be believed.
